Rain, Rain, Go Away. Please Come Back Another Day!
Have you ever had to deal with so much rain over so many days that you felt an Ark might be a good investment? And rounding up animals by the twos sounded like a good idea?
Several years ago I was a new agent wanting to be successful and would do whatever it took to become a self sustaining and then top producing agent. I held open houses and did lots of prospecting. I Signed up with Brian Buffini and worked on my sphere of influence.
Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head!
I remember that I would do open houses as much as possible. That meant Saturdays and Sundays and sometimes during the week with a twilight open house. To make it a real success I would get my signs out on the streets as early in the day as possible. Hence, my signs would be out there all day. Additionally, I would leave the signs out long after the open house was over. This would get me more exposure.
You Need To Get Exposure To Succeed!

Now this is great and I still do it but during that first year the winter. like this one, was a very wet season. My signs would get water logged and sometimes the signs would be blown over and actually run over by cars. It was a real test of nerves and determination.
Well, it's happening again. I am glad I'm reminiscing about this situation because I'm more seasoned, very successful today, and it's very tempting to tell myself I'm not doing that again. We've had so much rain in the northern California area in the last several days with much more to come. I have to keep healthy but I've decided that I'm not going to let the weather win this battle. Open house again this weekend. It's more fun in the sun rain.
I might buy an Ark anyway. I always like the story of Noah. So wise, so industrious. I just don't want to follow in his footsteps. I hope the rains go away soon but in the meantime, I'm game for doing what it takes. Wish me luck!
